Dealing with the outcomes of planning during the pandemic!

A Note from our CEO

The Ultimate Checklist to help you navigate through these tough times. Let’s get through this together.

  1. Don’t let this stress you out
  2. Take time to seek out options
  3. Make the right decisions / Pick a new date if possible. If not in 2020 in 2021 or 2022!
  4. Reach out to your Wedding Planner, if you don’t have one— reach out to your vendors immediately
  5. Review your contracts / proposals carefully
  6. Even if there is a “no refunds” policy / this is new to all of us and Planners + Vendors are working diligently with our brides to offer refunds during this difficult time
  7. Postpone if you can. Postponing over canceling will help out everyone involved. Most small businesses, will most likely… not be able to survive without you.
  8. Make sure to have a back up plan! We are uncertain of when this will all end. To be safe move your March, April, and May Weddings—- to mid June, July or August.
  9. Update your Wedding Website
  10. Keep up with the News / stay in touch with your vendors

“Social distancing” is a new phrase we all have been hearing lately. To Wedding and Event Planners it’s like “nails on a chalkboard.” —- { What do you mean! This is our livelihood, to plan + coordinate huge Weddings, Events and Private Parties. }

This whole thing, is not only putting a strain on us and our industry, but it effects… each and every one of us. As of now, 80 million jobs are at risk. More than $190,000 dollars have been lost due to the cancellation of weddings. Pleaseeee, we can not stress this enough, “do your best if you can, to reschedule and not cancel.”

This is a true crisis in The Wedding World and we all need to support one another. Our Brides are devastated, lives have been lost and human beings are at risk. We are all apart of this.

Let’s do our part —stay healthy and be safe. Take social distancing seriously. Let’s not infect each other. The CDC just announced that you can only have, no more than 10 people at one gathering for the next 15 days. The US has now put 3 states on lockdown.

Industry experts are seeing a huge influx in Fall + Winter Weddings. We want you to know you are not alone. Many brides are feeling like their Dream Days have been taken away from them. Let’s not get discouraged, stressing out doesn’t help anything. Things will get better it’s only inevitable. We can not control what the future holds but we can control our emotional state. Let’s try to stay positive, have a hopeful mindset and focus on self-care. The Ciao Bella Babes are here for you during this difficult time. Located in the heart of Tustin, this little gem is a must see.

It’s open from 9am-7pm. And is easy to see, from the front you will see it’s beautiful Boutique and behind the boutique is the Café.

Before coming here, I always know parking in front of the shop is limited.

There are plenty of spots down the main streets so plan on walking a little bit.

We have been here a hand full of times to meet our Brides. They have a variety of Bridesmaids dresses and gowns in their showroom to choose from. We think it’s such a great place to have a meeting.

Maternity Photoshoot

We decided to do a Maternity Photoshoot near by, our house at the time. We loved the way the greenery was taking over the Pepper fields.


So we called up my brother who is great on the GoPro and has his own Drone, to get that awesome footage, my sister-in-law who knows all my good angles and went for it.

The weather was wonderful a little cold by the time we got down there because it was golden hour, but we had a little sunlight still!

It made due for the best pictures. The last time we got pregnant we, or should I say “I” wanted to get those fabulous sunset on the beach shots. So this time around we went for a totally different feel. Here is our first look.


For our second look I wanted to spice it up and add some color to our wardrobe, so I wore a red dress, and the hubs and our baby girl, Liv wore denim.

I love what a sport she was being especially during her nap time. She did get cranky towards the end, so I knew it was time to go. But I needed up doing a super cute look inside the house as well, so it was great that she wanted to go.

I am feeling great this time around. I’m super happy to be having another baby. I couldn’t be more grateful and blessed to be carrying a healthy baby. We absolutely love our doctors Tiffney and Brian Tran over by Mission Viejo Hospital. They are such a dynamic duo and made my first process of being pregnant a breeze, plus delivery was crazy, and I couldn’t thank Dr Tran enough for being my super hero that day.

The Ultimate Guide Choosing the Right Colors

When it comes to your Wedding Day colors, you will want to incorporate the right color palette.

Picking and choosing your colors doesn’t have to be hard. Just make sure it compliments both you and your fiancé.

Play around with your favorite colors. Make sure it’s not to girlie or too masculine. Try to find a happy medium that you and your fiancé can both agree on.

Try to limit yourself to 3-4 colors max. We usually tell our brides to pick 3 colors. Two to three main colors and one pop color. For example: here is a beautiful combination below, Blush pink and Ivory with a pop of gold and lush green as your accent color. It’s always a great idea to keep your linen colors neutral. Ivory is a common choice, it’s clean, luxurious and subtle.

Speaking about linens, when you are deciding which kind of linens you want, be sure to remember there are all kinds of textures in the color you want! To add elegance, textured linens is the way to go! Believe it or not, velvet linens are very popular right now. Sequin linens are always a hit too! Especially for your sweetheart, head table, cake table or sweet treat buffet table. It’s lovely to have those linens in something different than your dining table linens.

There are new trends happening constantly in the Wedding World, and we are here to let you know what they are! We like to be in the now, and our Ciao Bella Babes love to live and breathe Weddings, and what’s trending! They are your go-to-gals when it comes to designing!

What we have discovered, is ….having the right floral, is everything! No matter how much, we, as wedding planners decorate, nothing compares to when the florals arrive! Be sure to hire a florist you love or trust! We have many florist we have built long lasting relationships with, over the last 15 years and that relationship…. is everything! When you have worked with someone in the past, you know what to expect! You know exactly what you will be getting, the quality of their work + arrangements, and them arriving in a timely manner. This will literally change the whole look, walking into your Wedding day, and it all depends on your floral arrangements! It’s a huge part of the design and decor! Even if it’s a bunch of lush greenery and few floral pieces, this is one of the biggest elements to your day! So choose wisely.

Tropically Island Breeze

Summer started and we can’t wait to see what’s in store for parties events and wedding tablescapes.

Meet Ciao Bella Michelle – Day of Coordinator
When she isn’t organizing, creating or delivering you the 5 star experience you could find her traveling, hiking, enjoying the outdoors, or laying out, catching those sun rays. Michelle is very reliable, a team player and one of our Leads for Day of Coordination. Our Brides would say that “Michelle is always happy, smiling and going above and beyond!” We love having Michelle on the CBWP Team. She has been with us for over 6 years and we couldn’t be more thankful for her and all the Weddings she has been apart of. She is an expert when it comes to planning. She exerts charisma, never falls short of her tasks, is always helping others finish theirs. She knows the ins and outs like the back of her hand and is great at attending to our Brides and Grooms. We can always count on Michelle. She’s humble, brave, talented, and very calm in a sticky situation. Not only is she an amazing asset to us but to anyone else as well. She is the one we can call upon in any situation to be there for us in a heartbeat. We love Michelle !
Meet Ciao Bella Jess – Planner
When Jess isn’t curating Wedding or Events you can find her up in the mountains snowboarding or at the beach swimming like a mermaid. Jess is a one of a kind and one of our main Wedding Planners and Coordinators. She excels where others fall short, she is very energetic, loves love and of course Weddings too! She has what it takes to handle every aspect on her own. She is a people pleaser, and loves to plan! Her execution is flawless and she pays extra attention to the pretty little details. Our brides would call Jess “ A go-getter !” We love having Jess on the CBWP Team. She has done all of our extravagant and over the top Weddings with us! She will continue to impress us with her creativity! We just love Jess!
Meet Ciao Bella Maria – Planner & Social Media Guru
When Maria isn’t Planning, you could find her crafting, sewing, making new designs or fashion pieces, enjoying her family, working out, or planning her own Events. Maria is a jack of all traits! She can wear many hats! Maria is dependable and an asset to any company she works for! She can tackle any and all obstacles, she is the most amazing person to work with and the complete package. Maria delivers her expertise to all Weddings and Events. She is known for being at a location before her scheduled time. Our Brides would say “ Maria has everything it takes to shine !” We couldn’t be more thrilled to have Maria on board the Ciao Bella Dream Team.
Meet Ciao Bella Sierra – Make Up Artist & Day of Coordinator
When Sierra isn’t doing make up or leading a Wedding or Event you could find her cooking up a storm in the kitchen for her family. She is a loving and caring Mama of two, who is dedicated to her family. Sierra has been with us since day one and enjoys every little aspect of the planning process. This little bombshell is reliable and self – sufficient! She will be at a Wedding before the sun rises to set up shop for our Bride and Bridesmaids getting them all glammed up for our Brides Dream Day. But wait there’s more, she will pull a double shift and work until the nights end to help with everything in between! From setting up to strike this Mama has what it takes to succeed at life. She is vibrant, full of love and has great energy, we love having Sierra on our squad. Our Brides would say “She’s ahhhhhmazing !” If you ever see Sierra say hi! She is the one you will see walking around with a smile on her face, never stressed and filled with passion for this industry. Let’s give it up for Sierra!
Meet our Owner- Ciao Bella Christina
Principle Planner & Luxury Wedding Designer Christina is our networking Queen, meeting new people is her “thang”, building new relationships with other vendors and getting to know new prospects daily is her jam. She has that lovable spirit, and has that relatable personality that’s attracts you to her. Christina always makes sure all ends are tied, all needs are met, and cradling every aspect of the planning process with the utmost care. Treating each Bride as if they were her own best friend. She is the kind of person who makes you feel good when you see her! But when she’s isn’t planning a lavish party, and extraordinary Event or Luxurious Wedding, you can find her beachside with her family and friends. She is a Mommy to be of two under two, a trophy wifey, and amazing entrepreneur. She found her niche decades ago, coming from a big Italian Family, always helping her Grandma and Aunties planning Parties, and creating enchanting moments with darling little details. It was in her nature to be a Premier Planner. She started her company straight out of high school while still attending college to get her degree in Business Management. What separates her from the rest is her enthusiasm, dedication, passion and love for her clients. She is loyal, respectful, responsible and creates these everlasting moments, people swoon for! Her relationships speak for themselves, time and time again you will find her catering to her clients needs. She is the woman behind the scenes, a curator of all things pretty, and her love for this industry is extremely effortless. She’s a natural and cultivates every Event or Wedding into a timeless masterpiece. She delivers the ultimate experience with everything she touches! She was born in Hollywood and raised in Laguna Beach, attending El Morro Elementary, Thurston and Laguna Beach High School. She was a LBHS Cheerleader and became known as your “go-to gal” for planning a good party.

CBWP Celebrating International Woman’s Day Today

On a day like this, the Ciao Bella Babes would like to take a moment to show some love! Let’s go out of our way today, to lift each other up, to pick up the pieces, where others let fall.

To remind each other how beautiful life can truly be, when we sprinkle a little generosity!

At CBWP, we do not compare nor compete, but admire! We loveeeee love, to show love, to others in the industry, and leave a lasting impression.

As we go about our day today, let us be reminded not to judge, not to compare, nor compete. But to give words of encouragement, engage with others who you never have before. Give more compliments, share your secrets, tell someone you love them or their work! And how lucky you are to be apart of their journey, in their lives!

Being a Bridesmaids

Have you ever wondered what your official role, as a bridesmaid really entails ? Well, we are here to give you the scoop on your job as a Bridesmaids and the proper Etiquette—-

If you were asked to be a Bridesmaids it is such a compliment and an honor. For some this is our first time, for others it’s their 5th time! But some of us, have never been sure of our duties, and some are not financially capable of these duties. Not to fret! We are here to help guide you. Plus, you don’t necessarily have to spend a ton of money, if you get creative !

Step 1: See how many Bridesmaids your Bride chooses. If there are only a few of you that’s cool, if there are a lot of you even better! Everything can be split to make it more affordable for everyone. The Maid of Honor, or Matron of honor, will be the one who will be taking the lead.

Step 2 : Wait for their direction first before jumping the gun, with color schemes, bridal shower themes and bachelorette ideas. They may or may not have already discussed this with the Bride.

Step 3 : Go out to brunch together, get to know one another, try to collaborate, brainstorm ideas or exchange numbers if you have not already. Since most of the time not all bridemaids happen to be friends, just happen to share a common bestie!

Step 4 : It’s not about you it’s about them! Make it that way. Show them you care and make the BRIDE feel SPECIAL, that’s the BIGGEST JOB DUTY YOU HAVE as a Bridesmaids, and is will weigh the heaviest yet it doesn’t cost a thing.

Step 5: Plan out what everyone’s jobs is and make a spreadsheet. This way nothing is bought twice or overlooked.

As a Bridesmaid we all know we are going to be in uniform of some sort, matching dresses, jewelry, matching style of dresses, maybe in different shades of the same color, matching shoes, matching hair styles; matching nail polish—- so many things you obviously see yourself spending money on.

Some Brides don’t mind which shoes you get, as long as they are closed toed or open toed-shoes, and one color nude or dark beige.

But then there are other brides, who want all their girls in the same exact shoes and are more lientent on the dresses; where they give you a color and tell you, that you may buy the dress whenever you like, so you can control the price.

We know how hard it is to ask a Bride these questions, but know that it is ok to do so. Like, do you have an idea of what we are going to be spending money on, { sometimes the Bride will buy all her bridesmaids matching robes for getting ready or the earrings she wants you to wear the Day of } So be aware of this and factor it in. You won’t be buying it all.

The bride will eventually have the Maid of Honor tell the rest of the Bridal tribe, what the Dress code is. At that time they will give them the 411, on the items they need to be purchasing.
